Oak Swing for Trees

A Solid Oak Swing Seat crafted from English-grown oak, sourced from a family-run hardwood timber mill in Norfolk.

Perfect to hang from trees, pergolas or porches. The oak seat has been lightly sanded but otherwise left as nature intended, without any chemical treatment. The kiln dried oak may silver in colour over time and could naturally contort or even split a little, all of which will enhance it's appearance.

The rope used is 16mm Synthetic Hemp, chosen for it's soft feel and natural appearance. Traditional splices by the fair hands of our own rope craftsmen have been used for the top soft splice and the tail join. The rope will not rot and is UV stabilised, so should give many years of trouble-free use. As with all ropes though, it should be inspected every now and again for condition.

The seat dimensions are a generous 750mm x 250mm x 30mm. The pair of 16mm Synthetic Hemp Ropes have an overall length of 2.5m with the tail section taking up 1m. Please note that these measurements are approximate and can vary slightly.

If you would like longer ropes than the 2.5m provided, simply purchase two more additional lengths of the 16mm Synthetic Hemp Rope and when checking out put a note in the 'delivery notes or comments'. Please note that you only need to purchase the additional lengths required. For example, for a swing with ropes of 4m long you will need to purchase an extra 2 x 1.5m = 3m of rope.
