Twines and Strings

Our twines and string range features a variety of man-made and natural fibre products, including:

• sisal twine (ideal for packaging)
• flax twine (for packaging and whipping natural ropes)
• natural jute string
• polyester whipping twine
• cotton string
• baler-style polypropylene twine (for industrial use)

These come in a range of colours, diameters, and coil sizes. Some products, such as 2-3ply sisal twine, can be purchased in a multi-pack of six or ten, allowing you to stock up at a discounted price.

All of our twines are always in stock and ready for immediate dispatch. So if you order by noon, they will arrive at your chosen address the next working day.

And note - we can supply a far greater selection of twines and strings than those listed above. We have strong partnerships with numerous UK and European manufacturers, and we also have our own string winding facility in Norfolk – and can produce bespoke twines, that are measured to a length of your choice and cross-wound on 100mm cardboard cores.

What is the difference between twine and string?

Twines and strings look very similar and there’s actually very little difference between them. Twines can sometimes be slightly thicker (and stiffer) than strings. But ultimately, the right product for you will depend on the material from which it is made (i.e. sisal, jute, cotton, polyester etc.).
