Great service
This is my second purchase from Ropes Direct. I can always find the rope I need on their site. I bought this for my move to a swinging mooring where the line to the buoy needs to float and of course have good UV resistant properties. This Polysteel rope promises to do the job as it has good claimed minimum breaking load and UV resistance. Time will tell, but for the price I don’t think I could do better!

Hempex 10mm
Great product from a great company. The Hempex rope looks authentic and is lovely to work with. Splices easily and cuts nicely. Ends easily sealed after cutting. All round good rope. Delivery was quick and kept well informed.
Rope barrier
I needed to construct a barrier on a slope to stop soil slipping away from a newly planted Camellia bush. My solution was to hammer six metal stakes to the ground and them weave the thick rope, like a basket, to form a crescent behind the bush. Works well and looks really good.

How to avoid buying the absolute wrong thing.
I had to call Ropes Direct and explain I needed thick twine for a 1960s Danish Safari Chair. They saved me from myself with good humour and loads of sound advice and pointed me to the right product. Friendly, knowledgeable, fast delivery and great price. No job was too small and the advice was fantastic. Use them. I do.
