A small order admittedly but I was on line yesterday afternoon seeking 10 metres of cotton cord and some whipping cord. By 10.00am this morning it was on my doorstep, or at least the courier was with exactly what I had ordered. A new garden feature.
Ordered above items for a garden border revamp, arrived next morning. Positioned and fixed the same afternoon. Ideal for the task in hand to create and frame the central part of a border. Products were just the job, easy to fix and sling the rope between four posts to provide a new growing frame. Looks good without planting up! Very pleased with service and quality of products which were delivered in first class condition. Thanks from a happy gardener.

Initially called and spoke to Terry who was extremely informative about the types of rope I’d need for a Dutch barge. Then spoke to Russell who was equally knowledgeable. Both genuine, helpful gentleman. Received the two types of rope that I needed promptly. The synthetic hemp is beautiful to look at and is lovely to touch. Russell also zero rated the VAT for our qualifying Dutch barge without any problems, unlike lots of other uninformed companies who make the process hard work. Would thoroughly recommend this company, the service and the products.

Wow! Rope ordered at 4.00pm. Product cut, hard eye splice made, packed and posted. It was with me by midday next day. That service would be impressive for a box-shifter like A****n but to achieve that where individual work had to be done is little short of miraculous!
The rope itself feels excellent – needed as a vertical handrail up a steep spiral staircase (church tower). I have yet to install it – the galvanised brackets need paint first – but I have absolutely no doubts that it will serve its purpose. The hard eye splice is fairly enormous. I should have realised that. I shall probably need to remove the thimble and make it a soft one. But my fault.
I had enquired from several different sources about what rope would best suit my needs. The response from Ropes Direct was streets ahead of any others, both in terms of promptness of reply and the quality of advice.
Perhaps I need to be clear that I have no personal connection with Ropes Direct – I am just a VERY happy customer!
