Playground ropes
The 32 mm rope was for a knotted climbing rope and probably would have been better suited to 10 year old children’s hands had I chosen 26 or 28mm rope. The rope was exactly as described, soft to the touch and fit for purpose. Allowing 240mm per knot plus / splice plus the measured drop provided the perfect result.
The 18mm rope was for a trapeze with the intention of using the larger diameter rope rather than the standard 12mm to provide better grip for 10 year old hands. Unfortunately the increased diameter rope required larger than usual “steel eight” rope length adjustment fittings as well as increased internal diameter fixings on each end of the trapeze bar to take the slightly more chunky rope.Both the above items are now in service and look great.
