I was having trouble placing an order via the mobile site, so rang the company direct. The owner was delightful – helpful and very efficient in processing my order. I ordered mid-afternoon and the items were delivered the next day. Perfect customer service. What a treat.
Superb Service
I searched the net and saw that Ropes Direct had exactly what I was looking for. I telephoned the order around 3PM and, as was promised, it was delivered by 09:30 the following morning! Service like that cannot be bettered.

This is a good quality cord, I do however question the large £6.60 carriage charge; to which VAT is included, it could have been sent Royal mail second class signed for cheaper and there is no VAT on postal charges, this will make it doubtful that I would order again from yourselves.
Response from Ropes Direct ~ VAT is in fact due on postal charges. The exemption only relates to services supplied by the Post Office for the conveyance of postal packages. Charges for postage and packing made by suppliers are subject to VAT.

We ordered a large quantity of this 16mm jute to make a ‘skirting board’ in our french barn conversion. Russell was helpful, efficient and patient on the telephone as we ordered as our internet is not reliable. The rope arrived quickly and was well packaged. The jute rope itself was perfect. It was exactly the right colour and texture to compliment our granite and old oak character barn. The flexibility of the rope allows you to cover the necessary gap between the parquet and the stone walls….none of which is straight! We have since ordered more for some french friends who loved the idea of using it as skirting! Thank you….fabulous product and five star service.
