As you can see it was an intricate job to ensure the weave was exactly the same across each section.

Why Synthetic Hemp? It’s perfect for decking outdoors. It looks like natural hemp rope but it is actually made of spun polypropylene so it lasts the course outside. It is UV resistant and is easier on the skin than natural hemp.

If you are planning just one or two horizontal lengths of rope for decking then you will probably want to choose a thicker diameter – usually 28-36mm. Nick used 14mm here because clearly the weave of the ropes required that.
