Synthetic Sisal rope rail 18 months on - RopesDirect

Before and after – our rope is great in the garden!

Here’s why our rope is great in the garden…

Eighteen months ago we supplied customer Fred Fisher with some synthetic sisal (a polysteel rope) to make a rope rail in his garden.

Now Fred has sent us some updated photos, showing how well it all looks today.

The plants have established well, supported by the rope.

Fred used some of our 32mm synthetic sisal (www.ropesdirect.co.uk/synthetic-sisal-rope.html). The rope was attached to the posts using galvanised steel rings on plates that are eye-spliced to the rope.

The rope is smooth to the touch, light brown in colour and is made to look like a natural sisal rope, although a lot less hairy! It is ideal for use in and around the garden as a decking rope, a handrail and for trailing plants. It is tough, durable and will not shrink or rot. It is also UV stabilised – all making this a very long lasting outdoor rope.

Fred’s choice of synthetic sisal means he gets all the strength outdoors that he needs. We also recommend synthetic hemp for decking and rope rails. And if you want to use a natural rope outside then we would recommend Manila rope which contains natural oils that slow down the rate of decay.

Our thanks to Fred once more for sharing his photos with us. They show perfectly how our rope can help transform your garden. They can mark flower beds and add height and structure without blocking the view beyond or creating a visual hard boundary.
