28mm Manila Rope sold by the metre

28mm Grade 1 Natural Manila Rope sold cut to length by the full metre. Maximum 220 metres.

For one piece of rope: Please use the quantity box to let us know the length you require in metres and we will send you one continuous length.

For multiple pieces: Please enter the total length in metres in the quantity box. Then tell us the number and lengths you require when you check out, using the “delivery notes and additional comments” box.

The standard finish for this rope is for both the left and right ends to be taped. If you would like to have them either whipped, soft spliced or hard spliced please visit our 'rope end finishes' category.

Our manufacturer has labelled this rope as 28mm but we measure the actual diameter at around 30mm.

This Manila Rope has been manufactured in The Philippines and conforms to EN ISO 1181 – 2004. Whilst not test-certificated the 28mm has an approximate Minimum Breaking Load of 5800kg.

Manila is a good strong traditional natural rope that is especially resistant to sunlight and stretches very little. It is ideal for use in the garden and being natural it complements planting and timber work. Uses include handrails, fencing, lawn & deck edging, swing & climbing ropes, rose & pergola swags.

When used as a decking rope the holes in the posts will need to be bigger than the rope and not the same size - it's best to wait for the rope to arrive before selecting your drill bit.
